Can deer jog?

When I was driving to work this morning, I got to 3rd south and suddenly all the cars were stopping in the middle of the block. I was trying to figure out why, when I saw them...two deer jogging down the sidewalk. The cars were staying back so they could stop if they suddenly left the sidewalk and it's a good thing they did. The deer crossed the road in front of me twice before they finally decided to turn right and head back toward the mountains. Crazy, huh?
