A few weeks ago, I read on Goodreads that Marcia McClure was coming to town. Most of you probably don't know who she is, but Alicia introduced me to her a few years. Alicia has wanted to go to her meet and greet every year since she started coming to Utah. Since she also introduced her friend, Heidi, to this author, we all decided to go and meet her. We ended up getting there last and had to sit and wait for 3 hours with four kids in tow. Amazingly, the girls were more determined to stay than we were. Alicia was ready to bail...spouting something about sunk costs. :) Heidi and I felt that we had already waited for so long that we didn't want our time to be wasted. Finally, at about 11pm, we got to go up to the table and meet her. Was it worth it? Probably not. But, we have a few signed books to show for it. And, we will never have to go again.
